Tejo’s Role in Valorant
Tejo Valorant is an initiator—his role is to focus on helping his team attack a bombsite, force enemies out of their hiding spots, initiate retakes, and more. His abilities allow him to deal massive damage, concuss, and suppress enemies, and like most initiators, he too can reveal the enemy’s location. Let’s learn more about his abilities in detail.
Valorant: Tejo’s Abilities and How to Use Them
Undoubtedly, Tejo has one of the best kits when it comes to abilities in Valorant. Since he is the newest agent, he is also more or less overpowered. This is the case with almost all new agents; they are usually overpowered until they receive changes.
Stealth Drone
Tejo’s first ability is called “Stealth Drone.” Press the respective key to equip a drone and fire to send the drone forward. It’s very similar to Sova’s Owl Drone, except the Stealth Drone only moves on the ground and is way faster. Fire again to scan the surroundings to reveal (a still-image reveal similar to Cypher’s ultimate) and suppress the enemies.
Note: This is your main initiating tool to clear angles, reveal enemies in the bombsite, and gather intel in general. Most importantly, try to find the sentinels and suppress them, as it will disable their traps. The drone has 42 HP, lasts 6 seconds and costs 300 credits.
Special Delivery
A very straightforward sticky grenade ability. Equip a grenade, left-click to fire the grenade at a targeted location, or alt-click to bounce the grenade once. Once fired, the grenade sticks to a surface and explodes—this concusses any enemy caught in the blast.
Note: This ability costs 300 credits and is perfect for post-plant scenarios. The grenade travels fast and has a very long range. The fact that you can bounce the grenade opens up new possibilities for lineups (make sure to watch videos on YouTube to learn more about Tejo’s lineups).
Guided Salvo
This is Tejo’s signature ability. Equip a targeting system (similar to Brimstone’s) and select a maximum of 2 targeted locations to launch missiles. These missiles deal damage over three ticks within 1.6 seconds, with each tick doing 50 to 70 damage.
Note: Since it’s a signature ability, it does not cost any credits and has a cooldown of 40 seconds. Use it on common hiding spots while attacking a site, or use it on the spike post-plant. Guided Salvo deals enough damage to eliminate an enemy and buys you a decent amount of time post-plant, making it the perfect ability for denying a Spike defuse.
Guided Salvo is also great at destroying enemy tech, especially Killjoy’s Lockdown.
Armageddon
Armageddon is Tejo’s ultimate ability, and it requires 8 points. Equip your targeting system again, fire to select a path, and fire again to launch the attack. This ability creates waves of damage along the path, deals 60 damage per tick, and ticks four times.
Note: I like using this ultimate when rushing a bombsite or when retaking one. Armageddon deals massive damage and covers a large area—it is the perfect ability for denying spike plants, post-plant scenarios, breaking enemy tech, and displacing enemies.
